Thank you Elissa & Lucas for having us photograph your wedding at Tango Mar and thank you for your compliments on our work. The last time I stayed in Tango Mar was when Laura (my wife) and I were dating. If there is a perfect place in Costa Rica for a destination wedding, this is it! The beach is practically private because of rocky outcrops on both ends. It has a cliffside ceremony area, beach lined with palm trees for shade, the hotel owner's attention to detail is impeccable, the staff has that "old Costa Rica" friendliness and attention in their service. The restaurant has a large area rancho to attend to a large wedding and an outer deck for a smaller wedding. The food was excellent, Elissa & Lucas treated us to their buffet. I look forward to the next wedding at this beautiful location. Elissa & Lucas are solid, genuine people, they loved being photographed (made it really fun for me). Stay in touch both of you!

I arrived to find Iddo by the pool at Casa de Las Frutas with his best friends. This wedding was about enjoying time with family and friends (like most New Yorkers). So much so that Lauren and Iddo wanted to get through their beach photo session as quickly as possible (literally 10 min.). Lauren looked beautiful in her Nicole Miller gown, Iddo is such a cool guy. Their wedding cake is the most original I have seen.

Mary, Casey and their friends are visiting us from Mississippi (I have been there a couple of times - my mother went to school at Saint Mary of The Pines in Chatawa). Mary warned us about Casey not wanting too many photos taken of him, but Casey's mom would have my head if I didn't take enough. I think Casey's mom will be happy with the results. Hope your knee gets better so I can take you on a "two bottle" run around our "flat"country (hehe). The best to both of you.

Heather and Paul were a very relaxed couple for their wedding day. It looked like rain but this did not worry them at all. They were enjoying Costa Rica. Jerry Russo officiated their wedding, he said " May God who hears all prayers be present for this ceremony and while you're here, do us a little favor and give us 45 min before you dump rain on us". It poured 45 min. later. Great couple, people you want to become friends with. Congrats!

Janet glowed with her beauty! She is such a happy soul. Peter was a bit nervous but loosened up after the pastor said "you may kiss the bride". Janet & Peter live in Arizona, great opportunity to get some advice on where to go. My wife is a total "desert rat" loves New Mexico and Arizona. Our home "in the design phase" will be all Santa Fe, I don't have mush say in this, so, I just go with the flow.

We had a great time with Lizzy & Mark. She is an animal lover, she talked about her horses and huskies (rescued) and I shared my stories of my greyhounds (rescued in California to retire here in Costa Rica). Pura Vida Gardens offer amazing views, we got to see the scarlet macaws (about two dozen) on their way to roost. I made sure to include some photos of them for Mark's mom who rescued some parrots and loves birds. Jack, the owner of Adventure Dining is a great host, he really gives his guests a great experience.

Jeanette & David were like photographing for a bridal magazine, very good-looking couple! This was another wedding of clients from Canada, all escaping the winter.

Recently I have had a lot of canadian clients, living in the tropics I quickly forget about cold weather and snow. Leaving Calgary, there was a foot of snow on the runway. Must be a real relief to hit some warm weather. Tamara, a paramedic, had some butterflies in her stomach for her wedding day. Jonathan is a total gentleman. They were all a really fun group! Paola Martinez organized their event at Paradisus Playa Conchal.

Kelsey and Scott had been recommended to Tropical Occasions and El Velo by Debra Goldblatt and Matt Austin. They were previous clients that got married at the the Fiesta Premier (Hilton now). Kelsey looked spectacular in her Ines Di Santo gown, gorgeous! Loved the fact that Scott had a best woman for his wedding, the best man for my wedding was my sister. What a really, really, really nice group!

I had so much fun with this wedding, East Coasters are witty - keep you on your toes! Laura is costarican and has been living in New Jersey 10 years. Dave is a great guy, great sense of humor. Laura looked stunning in her Carmela Sutera gown, extremely photogenic. I had not been to Punta Leona in years, I had forgotten how beautiful Playa Blanca was. The event was coordinated by Sylvia and her crew from Costa Rica Paradise Wedding.

Suzelin & Chris and actually the whole group are some of the nicest people you could meet. We got lucky on this wedding, it began raining and ended right before Suzelin walked down to the ceremony. Everything was set up at the beach, when it began raining, Meredith (Sales Manager- Hilton) had everything moved under a ranchito then out to the beach again. I had been to this resort when it was the Fiesta Premier, the remodel makes the Hilton look spectacular.

Ok! Finally I got to publish this blog! I had promised Lauren & David I would have the blog and website ready the following day but I ended up having to meet some clients from Colorado and the "bug" (my daughter at a very precocious two) would not let me work. When I arrived at Lauren's room for some pre ceremony photos, I found her not so motivated with her wedding hairdo. I thought she looked stunning! She had a spanish look; the hairdo, her beautiful Cymbeline gown and her bouquet, it all worked!! After taking a few photos Lauren saw how great they were turning out. Lauren & David are an awesome couple, I invited them to just show up at Juan Santamaria airport (next time they come to CR) and we would take care of the rest. I really wish you both the best in life!

I really like the idea of going back in time, I am taking my little Hawkeye out more and more at weddings so I can show my clients the results. Daniella & Steven’s wedding took place at Bahia Potrero Hotel, Guanacaste in Feb of this year.
