Lighting at Hotel Bahia Potrero is magical, everything is close: rooms, reception area and ceremony site, this makes it very easy to work. The food superb and the help of the Potrero Bay staff is as always excellent, thank you Roxana! The wedding event was organized by Sylvia Chaves of Costa Rica Paradise Weddings. It was my first event working with Sylvia and it was a pleasure. Congratulations to Daniella & Steven!
Suzanna is the sweetest person! What an emotional ceremony! Suzanna got ready at Casa de Las Frutas, this house has one of the best view in all of Quepos.
I met Nancy and Terry months ago on their scouting trip, we actually did and engagement session then. Nancy is a sweetheart and Terry is a cool guy. Nancy had a beautiful wedding dress, great to play with photos. It was nice to be back at Cala Luna, it had been a while since the last wedding. The eclipse was fantastic that night. Cheers to both of you, Nancy & Terry!
What a great wedding! I met Jenn & Casey a year ago at La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio when they were scouting places for their wedding here in Costa Rica. We had an early start, thank you! Costa Rica has no daylight savings so lights out after 5:45. It is so much more relaxed to photograph with enough time and light. Jenn & Casey, you both are a great couple, I wish you the best in life. Come back and visit us!
This is one of the most original weddings I have been to. Gabriella wore a dress designed by herself, Dana's ring was actually a tattoo on his arm (he hid it til the wedding day). Anahi & Steven, always good to see you both! I loved the location, Tropico Latino is an ideal place for a wedding in Malpais. Happy Valentine's and congrats to Gaby & Dana!
One of the prettiest sunsets this year and Playitas, Manuel Antonio was not so crowded! Still, here in Costa Rica, Quepos is one of the best places for a destination wedding. Congratulations to Jenn & Adam!
It has been a while since I had been back to Manuel Antonio to do photography of a wedding and reception at Tulemar beach. Although we had a high tide, we had no wet feet. Nikki was just as nervous as Henri but got thru their vows unlike me at my wedding. Everything was very relaxed, I even conversed with Henri about cycling here in Costa Rica and Colorado. The event went off very nicely with Karen, Sally and Jerry of Tropical Occasions. Congratulations to both of you! Henri, we hope to see you back here for some mountain biking.
I really enjoy weddings in Dominical and especially at low tide. Dominical beach has very little slope, so high tides can be complicated. I did not know there was a place with such elegance and class as Hotel Cuna del Angel amidst the lush tropical forests and beaches of Dominical. This place has excellent service and an extremely friendly and professional staff. Mia hired Weddings Costa Rica to plan their wedding and although Dominical is a more secluded place, everything went off very well. MIa decided on a digital photography package as well as a vintage photography package taken with a 1940s camera. Photographing with this camera brings all the charming scratches and imperfections on the film (black & white and sepia) and let's me go back to the old school stuff!
Congrats to Mia & Eric!
Hacienda San Agustin de Callo is such a fantastic place! Extremely elegant, exquisite service, amazing views and unparallel elegance, perfect for a wedding in Ecuador. Set on the slopes of Cotopaxi volcano, it lends itself to some spectacular views. Laura and I fell in love with the place, so much so that we are planning on returning in May with our mothers and our daughter Jessi. I really want to help promote Ecuador (it has so much to offer and at great prices) so I have decided to give away my wedding photography services for free for anyone wanting to get married at this location. Thank you for everything Mignon, Carolina and David. We truly had a great time! We will see you soon.
