You would never imagine this location high up in the Dominical mountains with an amazing ocean view. It was my first time at Mareas Villas and what a surprise. Pilar and her husband (a chef that worked alongside Emeril Lagasse - image the menu) moved down from LA to Costa Rica and just finished the construction of this place. The construction details and finishes are all about Pilar, I will let her tell you the story once you make it to Mareas. It rained the whole day, we were in the middle of a tropical storm but the photos turned out amazing!

Christine & Bryan got married at Banano Azul in Puerto Viejo, Limon.

After some photos of the beach we headed into town and found this tri-color poster of Bob Marley giving the full flavor of a Caribbean wedding in Costa Rica.

If you want a wedding ceremony overlooking the pacific, Tangomar is the place. Tangomar has both cliffs and a beautiful private beach. It recently underwent massive remodel. Can't say enough about the staff.

casa capitan - santa teresa, malpais

Been to few weddings in Santa Teresa and Malpais and every time I come I am surprised by a new cool venue. Casa Capitan is huge! This place can fit 100 for a wedding day. Although we had been hit with some serious rains they let up for Regi's & Sorrel's wedding. We just published their site but wanted to get it on the blog. It was a beautiful wedding.

Here is a location that caught me by surprise. Most of our destination weddings in CR are at the beach, sometimes in Arenal but none in San Jose (capital). Sara hired us and decided on Hacienda Villa Hermosa right here in town. The place is really nicely set up for a wedding.

No other area beats the sunsets in Conchal and Flamingo Beach. Mayra & Luke had a beautiful afternoon at Flamingo Beach. Paradisus Romance handled the whole set up.
